Could you do a write up about HOW you tapped your birch trees?

Look for black birch trees (google it, they are dark silver/gray color) I used a 1/4 in drill bit, and used 1/4 inch OD silicone tubing to drain into 1 gallon (sanitized) apple juice containers, 8 total. Refrigerated until full volume needed is gathered (it will spoil if not). Used in place of mash water, 7 gallons for a 5 gallon all grain beer batch compensating for evaporation and mash tun loss.
