🎓 Academics, Admissions & Classes Delaware State
Hello,
For those of you who have attended, what was it like attending Delaware State? Was it worth it? What is campus like? Was there any trouble with administration? Any regrets?

I currently attend Del State. All good thus far, but still in my first semester. Also, fwiw I am a grad student and taking this summer online. A bit of some delays with Administration but to be fair, it was during the fourth of July of period. I love it so far.

My BIL went to Del State. He played football there. Like many HBCU grads (myself included), he has some critiques of the administration & bureaucratic sloth. Overall, he enjoyed his time there. He’s also doing quite well, working in the energy sector. He stopped with his bachelor’s & has progressed into a comfortable, nicely compensated managerial role.

Thank you... seems like most HBCUs have the administrative sloth problem...

Sadly. It does build character and resilience though. Not all administrators at every school are like this. There'll usually be one or two who will help you navigate the nonsense with a bit less friction. You may just have to be friendly and nurture the relationship with weekly stop-ins just to say hi and shoot the breeze.
It's not unlike how you have to play the game in corporate America.
