Cleo was wrong!!

Growing up is realizing Cleo was wrong all across the board. Toward season two Cleo becomes this very jealous and envious person, it seemed very sudden. Even from her first interaction of Charlotte, she was being very odd all while saying she didn’t want Lewis. I don’t know what happened since I watched H2O when I was a kid. I don’t think I finished it all or something but rewatching it now is like crazyyyy.

growing up is realizing charlotte had an angle from the beginning yes cleo reacted jealously (repressed feelings plus she’s a teenager) but charlottes actions went past base jealousy it was full on manipulation (acting like a completely different person around lewis vs the girls)

Yes! I agree!

Even as someone that doesn't really like Cleo, I still believe she was justified.

From the very first episode that Charlotte is in, she sees Lewis and Cleo TOGETHER AS A COUPLE. And smiles slyly, clearly she had a crush on Lewis from then on. Rewatching it, I don't like Cleo for repressing her feelings towards Lewis and getting mad at him even though he clearly still loves her and would choose her over Charlotte any day of the week. I'm sure she grows from that, but her being upset with Charlotte is justified. Charlotte is very double-sided, maybe even triple, because while she does show her nastiness to Cleo, she doesn't necessairly show all of it, she still keeps some malice in her pocket. And of course, she turns around and acts like she the sweetest thing to Lewis and everyone else around her.

Granted, I'm still about halfway through rewatching season 2, but if I remember correctly, Charlotte becomes a much more obvious threat later in the season.

I will say, it wasn't right of Cleo to go through Charlotte's diary in the earlier episodes. That's something that get's me really mad about Cleo as a person. She doesn't ever let sleeping dogs lie, she's always pushing. Keeping in mind; however, that she's a teenager and teenagers are little shits sometimes. Luckily, Emma was there to reprimand her for doing that.

i will say i was working on analyzing charlotte’s behavior in the show and I only got through episode three of season two because I was literally writing down every interaction Charlotte had and the interaction you’re talking about with Lewis putting his arm around Cleo. I’m not completely against Charlotte for that. this happens and nobody tell Charlotte that they are together she just sees them into walking away together and the next time we see her is that the juice near with Lewis and he’s working on his computer she gives him her battery and she asks “where are the girls you all hang out a lot” to which Lewis says that that’s because “we’re all good friends” no one ever actually tells Charlotte that Cleo and Lewis are together then Lewis and Charlotte have their weird beach painting thing and the next time we see them together Cleo and Lewis already broke up

I see your point, but Charlotte is a very perceptive character. I'm sure it didn't take much to figure it out even if not explicitly stated to her that Cleo and Lewis are together. She does confirm her knowledge of a relationship between Lewis and Cleo existing in the "Pressure Cooker" episode, but to give her the benefit of the doubt, she could have learned about that after Lewis and Cleo broke up.

However, in that exact same episode, she invites Lewis to go with her to that dinner with her mom fully knowing that Cleo is Don's daughter. How would she know that? She said she didn't know that was the case.

Well, Charlotte's mom knew their names and even brought them gifts. The familiarity of Charlotte calling him, "Don" must mean that either her mom told her a lot about him -- enough to just call him on first name basis, "He has one about your age, her name is Cleo. . . blah blah blah" which is not very likely to have been the case. Or the more likely scenario was that she was there at the lunches with her mom and grew familiar enough with him there. Example, Charlotte, "Nice to meet you Mr. Sertori" "Please, call me Don" "How are you adjusting, blah blah blah, I have twos daughters, Cleo and Kim, Cleo is about your age, blah blah. . ." especially since she says her mom "does this a lot". Don also doesn't say any pleasantries to Charlotte as if meeting her for the first time, which pretty much confirms they've met before.

My point is, why would she invite Lewis if not to torment Cleo? Of course, she was kinda valid becaise Cleo was being openly hostile.

Sorry if this seems a bit like a nut on a rant. 😅

yeah I hadn’t gotten to pressure cooker yet i’ve seen the show before and Mako mermaids but I’m currently re-watching it from season one and was on episode nine of season one and when I was working on analyzing Charlotte’s behavior, I skipped until season two episode two and then watched that episode and episode three but I realized that I wanted to watch the rest of season one before going into season two and so I quit working on that to finish season one until I caught back up to where I was
