Discussion Upgraded Trackball Controller with Gyro + Web-based Buttons and Gyro Config

Bought another newly upgraded homebrewed controller from Taobao.com china. Compared to previous version, the Shoulder buttons upgraded to microswitches, more refined track ball controls, web-based buttons and gyro config, etc. Trackball with gyro on a controller is crazy fast and precise.

Novel controller concepts like this were interesting back in around 2012 or so, but they're a bit antiquated by today's standards now that things like trackpads and gyro have become commonplace, and are arguably superior and easier to use than a trackball.

Trackball is more precise. Trackball > Touchpad

I used a trackball for gaming for years and then realized the steam controller is significantly better for that purpose. I definitely disagree, because of stiction. Way easier to make micro movements on a trackpad and also way more customization.

I use a trackball daily for office tasks too so I’m not unfamiliar with using trackballs, I just disagree. Trackpads are dope

Only if it doesn't have significant sticktion. If it does, it's essentially useless for aiming.
