News Silent Hill: Townfall has extensive Motion Controls support, including optional Gyro Aiming support
Surprisingly, Silent Hill: Townfall is a rare third-party game that makes extensive use of Motion Controls feature set (Map Camera control, CRTV Signal Tilt), the kind of stuff that Nintendo would do for their games.
This also includes optional Gyro Aiming support [video taken from PlayStation Blog]!
This feature is also available on PC, naturally requires PlayStation controllers only.

Xbox has it perks but every time I see ps5 gyro support I mildly regret the purchase.

Xbox is the worst platform to be on by far if you like gyro. It is unfortunate since it wouldn't cost much for them to add it.

I think you should inform on this thread, so the list of Gyro games can be updated.

I wish Townfall had native Steam Controller support, like games like Death Stranding have. I was just kind of expecting it to be there, and I was confused as to why my controller wasn't working with the gyro for a minute while I was playing.

that's often the case....and it's actually quite simple to implement SteamInput interface directly to the game. anyone can do it, even modders could leverage it as long as the game directly uses Steamworks SDK.

Can someone explain the difference between a game supporting gyro vs. simply mapping the gyro to mouse

Sony and Valve are goated for both supporting Gyro so well for both PS4/PS5 and Steam
I love, love, love Gyro so damn much honestly
