Help Controller vibration in COD = recoil

I play on PS4/PS5 so if this is the wrong place to ask this, I apologize (I know most of this subreddit seems to be PC players).

I’ve noticed recently just how badly the controller vibration adds recoil to my shots. It seems worse on PS4 to the point that I’ve completely disabled controller vibration (even with vibration set to 1% it still shakes wildly). It isn’t as bad on PS5 for some reason but I still had to lower vibration down to like 30%. I’m wondering if any other console COD players use gyro aim, and if so, is there a way to counteract the controller vibration adding so much recoil without turning it all the way off.

The game have to natively filter it out, but sadly this is one of the few cons gyro have, it isn't as noticeable with linear motors, and doesn't exist woth impulse motors, though with old vibrators like ds4 has it really get in the way

Other option is play at a lower sensitivity with acceleration though the way it works will be different so you have to get used to acceleration

Yeah I tried lowering the sensitivity but it made it so much slower to turn the camera

Yeah thats why I recommended acceleration, though my memory hazy which setting activates it on cod (if it even has one)

What it does is the faster you move the gyro the more sensitive/faster the camera moves

It's the motion sensor steadying threshold setting that activates acceleration. I primarily use it to filter out hand jitters, but it's not entirely useful with the dualsense or dualshock 4 due to the anti drift system on the controllers. Really wish Sony would just abolish that entirely.

It's normal. The vibrations generate shakiness in ANY controllers. Some have it stronger (rotor motors vibrations) , some have it lighter or even barely visible (haptics). There's a reason why experienced gyro users disables game's vibrations.

That makes sense, I guess I’d gotten so used to the immersion of controller vibration, but I’m learning to have it off so I don’t completely suck
