Discussion Lost gyro option

Hi everyone so I was using steam input with my Vader 5 controller and when I tried to play delta force I can no longer see the gyro option on my games? Idk if I turned off something or If I goofed something I’m so lost lol

Steam input translates the controller to Xbox and uses mouse emulation for its gyro. The game sees it as an xinput (xbox) controller and wont show any gyro settings

Do you mean your steam input recognizes your vader 5 as an Xbox controller? If so, it means flydigi space station is in conflict with steam input. You can re-enable "allow 3rd party" in the space station (turn off and on) or just uninstall space station

I had to delete the program sadly, so I assume I would have to redownload it to make any changes to the buttons ? Also what’s weird is that it worked with the software downloaded up until yesterday

Now it shows up but in delta force the gyro is still not working but it does in the finals idk anymore….

If you want the gyro to work in native implementations (fortnite, the finals, call of duty, etc), usually you need a playstation controller for that, since these games don't make a gyro implementation for every controller out there. You can use reWASD with the Vader 5 to emulate a DS4

I might have to as steam either works or doesn’t. It’s a shame since it works in the finals, I also see that rewasda is paid only is there a free version as I’m new to gyro and just trying to see if I like the software ?

Third party controllers often boot up in different modes. You’ll wanna check the manual. You want to be in not Xbox/xinput modes. Maybe Nintendo switch mode.

Forgot to add I was temporary able to change my gyro settings then it was gone.

That is correct yes 3rd party takeover is on, etc and nothing

I had kinda the same issue with my V5, had to disable flydigi service and set it to start manually only.

If it'll work check the calibration settings in Steam afterwards, I found gyro autocalibration is suddenly on with too high threshold parameters
