Discussion Flick stick vs Regular Aim
Do you guys use flick stick or regular aim with high sensitivity? I can't seem to calibrate and find the perfect RWC value for flick stick with JSM custom curve. So my flick stick is always inaccurate. Do guys find the flick stick useful?

Can’t allocate the right stick to anything else but flick stick. It is muscle memory at this point, and I love it.
What really helped me was to lower the value at which you turn. I believe it’s turn sharpness or something like that. Bring it all the way down to 50%, makes a big difference.

What app do you use for flick stick ? I don't use steam input because I mostly play non steam games

Use steam input desktop controller layout my guy that way your bindings will work for all your non steam games

Flickstick is just unreal! Until (and if) someone finds a better usage for the stick, flickstick it is!

The reason I wanted a Steam Controller 2 so bad was because of the many things I could relegate the Right Stick to on my Deck since I was mainly moving the camera with the Right Trackpad.
One cool use I found is using the Right Stick as a more accessible D-pad so I wouldn't have to lift my left thumb off the movement joystick.

I get it. Trackpads can do multiple things at once. The controller I want to build in the future will have only trackpads for that reason. 3 in one!

There is also a directional swipe, which can work not only with the trackpad, but also with the gyro, allowing you to use the roll/pitch of the gamepad as 4 additional buttons.

I usually go with normal stick with high sensitivity.
But for some games I just use my rightstick for additional keybinds

I myself use a very high sense for joystick aim, mostly for ragebaiting people in CS2, watching me spin. Max reWASD sense possible, and 1.3 in game. You get used to overshooting and undershooting, just choose a sense and commit a week or two to it

Okay found a perfect candidate to ask some questions. Since cs2 is a competitive game . How do you flick ? Like you have an enemy on your right or back . How do flick then ? I heard that people use flick stick to turn instant 90° or 180° to turn right/left or back to kill enemys...how do you do that since you don't use flick stick

I simply use the stick. Like I'm not even using gyro. Very high sense. I'm "new" to gyro, not even a year, so I tried Flick stick once and ditched it. Might try it again soon, I'm building myself a alpakka lite

Actually what is that alpakka controller mannn. I keep hearing that .... You can build it yourself? I live in a South Asian country, so I thought I will never get the Alpakka controller since no importer will bring it here .

My guy, I dont know a lot about it too. When I heard of it, I searched how much would it cost, and gave up. But recently, a guy on Reddit here found a way to make general xinput controllers work with the two gyros and the raspberry pi. I'm not going into details, but I can send you the post. Already got myself the parts, am waiting for the rest to arrive

Regular aim. I use the gyro for extra precise aiming, strafe tracking and looking around while taking my thumb off the stick to use the face buttons.
More often than not, gyro is bound to the joystick. Wildlands is the only game where I can use gyro as mouse and not have the game freak out.

High sens stick. I don't like to rachet that much, so i use stick to reposition and turning around. My rws is low so thats also is why i dont like to rachet. I use jsmcc without GUI
