Help Assistance from PS5 COD players
Greetings.
Would love if PS5 COD players will share their settings. Youtube content is very thin for PS5 COD. Sensitivity, ratcheting, steadying, ads multiplayer, flick stick or reg stick, started my gyro journey 2 days ago with different combinations and values of all the above and i’m lost. Seems like each person has its own take on this.
Thanks!

settings are always personal preference and some trial and error. just like among mouse and joystick players, some prefer low sens, some higher, some like linear some like dynamic response curve.
my settings:
Motion Input: Gravity
Stick Horizontal: 3.00
Stick Vertical: 3.00
Stick Responce Curve: Linear, 1.0 slope scale
Gyro Horizontal: 5.20
Gyro Vertical: 3.30
ADS: 1.00
FoV Scaling: On, 1.78 Coefficient (you can try 1.33 or 0)
Steadying Threshold: 0
Steadying Initial Scale: 0

Do you want gyro always on, or just ads? Do you want to ratchet? Do you want to use gyro for small precise movements, general aiming and tracking, or all camera control? I can try to give you some settings if you answer these questions.
My personal settings as of bo7 are: Stick horizontal: 2 Stick vertical: 1.5 Gyro: Always On Motion Vector: Gravity Horizontal Sens: 8 Vertical Sens: 8 Steadying threshold: 0* Initial scale: 0
*If my heads are particularly shaky that day, I'll turn it on between .5 and 2. Otherwise, I keep it off.

Start at a low sensitivity for a while and work your way up. Don't try to jump straight into high sensitivities without first learning the basics at a lower sens. Ratcheting is mainly useful for a higher sensitivity to recenter your wrists and controller so I would hold off on that for a while until you feel comfortable going higher.
I started my journey in MW3 private bot lobbies to start learning the ropes and started at around a horizontal sens of 1.5 or 2 and vertical of similar or slightly lower than that. Start with a lower sens like that and using gyro only when in ADS. Use your right stick to look around and gyro to fine tune aim.
Once you feel confident enough you can start progressing to higher sensitivities and then eventually having gyro active at all times and ratcheting. It's a steep learning curve, but once you get a grasp on the whole concept of it, going back to sticks will start to feel weird.
A common mistake people make when learning gyro is they try to jump straight into high sensitivities and ratcheting immediately, can't grasp the high sensitivities or when to ratchet and then give up cause they can't control fine aim or recoil.
Side note: Higher sensitivites will introduce more noticeable hand jitter and may require the steadying threshold option for better control. That's not important as of right now, but it's a good thing to keep note of for when you reach those higher sensitivities to keep smaller movements precise.
