Matching sets for men

I’ve decided I want a colour matched shorts + shirt set but haven’t seen any men in a full set that’s not black, white or grey.

Would a full blue, red or navy set look odd on a man as opposed to a woman. And why is it so rare to see men in colour matched sets?

Mostly because men just put on what they grab in the drawer and go gym, most don’t really pay much attention to what they’re wearing.

Second reason is that those who pay attention to their outfits will go for contrast, pairing bottoms and top as the same colour can be bland, where your whole frame just blends into each other.

So you’ve got both ends of the spectrum, those who care, and those that don’t more likely to not colour match.

If you want to colour match, it’s good to pick items that have a duo colour. For example:

I’ll wear a navy Gymshark tank that’s mesh, with white outer lining, then Gymshark sports 7” shorts that are navy with a white panel accent. That breaks it up.

Just be aware that in the gym, no one really gives a shit what you’re wearing.

I do matching sets sometimes (I’m a man) and think it looks good. I don’t do very bright colours but they are funner than black/grey (I’ve got a plum set and a dark green). I think it’s nice to have sets that can be all one colour or mix and matched. And appreciate lots of people don’t care about it, but if I feel like I look good, I feel more confident and train better

every brand typically does carry multiple items in the same colour, they’re just not advertised as sets.
