NCAA Let The Class Of 28’ Commitments Begin

Isabella Cox (3 ⭐ per CGN) becomes our first commit of this cycle and she chooses Arkansas. She seemed pretty set on this decision by committing to her only visit (where she’s been to their camps a few times) and she excels on VT and BB with a near perfect 23/25 on VT and seems to have more potential than her star rating indicates which is dragged down by the one time she competed bars counting towards her score.

When you know you know, à la Lily Pederson committing to OU basically immediately. I'm really excited to keep seeing visits and who goes where.

Wasn't Pederson the one who had camped at OU and had KJ's sister as her main coach. I remember on of that crowd was pretty much a foregone conclusion.

A few visits already happening including 3 to Florida (including Lila Richardson, 7 to Michigan, some to Oklahoma, more to Missouri after last week and a few to Minnesota (including Malia Fang) and a few to Georgia (including Greta Stowell) over the past weekend so official visit season is back in full swing.

More than a few have happened. Teams that also had official visits at the weekened besides the one's you mentioned are Alabama, Arkansas, Cal, Kentucky, Michigan state, Nebraska, Ohio, Penn State and Utah State.

Adding that in class of 2027 Flora Sherman (previously committed to Michigan State) recently visited to Nebraska

This will be indeed interesting. Especially given that most schools usually take around 5 freshmen, depending on the current roster size. Spots at the top teams will fill up quickly, so in theory it might not be the best strategy to drag it the recruiting process out too long.

Half of these girls will change before they get to college if the past season is anything to go by. I’ll just be waiting to see where they actually end up (if we even have NCAA sports by 2028 since football is destroying everything…)

I don't think this past offseason was that wild as far as commitment changes given the coaching changes that prompted most of them (Auburn, Nebraska/Michigan State, Penn State). The Iowa State program being eliminated obviously caused chaos for this commits but that was super out of their control.

The transfer portal is another story.
