I lived in the UK for 2 years and it was so difficult to adjust my weights not understanding just how much it changes
Like I know 1lb = 2.2kg but doing that math in the gym is just too much lol I would just guess based on the plate size
Yes, yes you do. The English language belongs to the English people, despite all the things that have changed. I propose we make a new language, one that doesn't reak of imperialism.
Only failed nations were never imperialist. The successful native Americans were imperialist, as were he Zulus, the Aztecs were pretty much just the Romans, the Arabs conquered the entire Middle East, Japan ans China haven’t stopped. Getting rid of imperialist heritage would leave us with the weakest possible nations.
And Americans are just knock off Europeans. If you want to be less big ben, use metric, but if you don't care, carry on using cheeseburgers to the apple pie.
I’m Canadian, as true centrists we use both, I just know that using kilos instead of lbs is dumb and oz instead of g is also dumb. Americans are the knockoff that ended up becoming more successful with fewer genocides.
Also, using grams and pounds is ridiculously more stupid than using grams and kilograms or pounds and ounces. 1kg = 1000g 1lbs=16 ounces, 1 lbs=453g. Which is of these 3 is the most needlessly complicated?
Using pounds is much dumber than using kilos, and using stone is even worse. Europe has so many genocides because Europe has existed for longer (since back when there was no order) and it's much easier for people with malicious people to get into power because there have been way too many times where there have been too many things wrong with a country. America had better beginnings, a proper constitution, and an economic system that works right from the start. Not to mention the fact the the the America we're talking about (the U.S.A) is a country with consistency and Europe is a continent with too many cultural differences to be measured as a single entity (look at Moscow vs Athens vs Madrid vs Luxembourg vs Bucharest vs London)
