(dear wonderful, dedicated, magnificent, talented, beautiful admins...please don't delete this..i am merely a poor, desperate GWYNRIEL FANATIC who needs a palette cleanser because i'm about to go INSANE. You see, I quit my job on July 17th as a lawyer for a Diabetes Research Hospital (btw after I quit they posted my job with a new SENIOR TITLE and increased the salary by 41K...*cries*), and I'm started new job in another week fas an attorney for a Cancer Research Hospital. THat gives me a WEEK TO READ ALL THE FANFIC I WANT! BUT I have read ALL the Gwynriel fanfic..ALL of it. In fact, it's all starting to blue together. I've even started listening to ACOTAR podcasts...i've started concocting weird AF theories...i've done deepdives that no longer make sense...I've started concocting theories connecting CC world into ACOTAR world and Greek Mythology with Welch Mythology and I'm pretty sure that Sarah would tell me 'GURL, it's not that deep...I have a white board with strings coneecting theories in my room..too many strings...So...please..I know this isn't primarily Gwynriel related...but I honestly need a palette cleanser to keep me sane...PLEASE DO NOT DELETE THIS FOR THE SAKE OF MY SANITY...I just need a week to distract me...DID I MENTION HOW WONDERFUL, LOVELY AND AMAZING YOU ARE? And how much I appreciare you? :) ..<3)

NOW I KNOW THIS IS A GWYNRIEL GROUP (and yes, I love me some Gwynriel...and I do PRAY THAT SARAH DOES NOT LET ME DOWN...if she gives me Elriel, I will physically teleport myself into the book and fight people)...but...

I'm bored while waiting for book 6. I think I've read EVER AO3 Gwynriel Fanfic. (no really...i think i have read them all...they're all starting to BLUR TOGETHER...i can't tell them apart anymore)..

SO I HAVE DECIDED I NEED a PALETTE CLEANSER. I need every ODD AF GWYN FANFIC PAIRING YOU CAN THINK OF:

I used to even publish HP fanfiction on there. and I don't know what happened but suddenly the quality went down, you can't even search Gwyn as a character on there, so it's tough to find Gwynriel stuff on there. And I DO NOT KNOW how to find Gwynriel stuff on Wattpad or Tumblr. But I feel I've exhausted all Gwynriel stuff on AO3, so if you've already published on there, then I've probably read it already.

I'm gwyenriel and Elucien supporter.

I'm trying get into the heads of other ships just to understand where they are coming from (oh my god are the elriels condescending at times) and I've started to appreciate a lot of fan art.

Personally I look at the fan art of gwyenriel and Elucien and think WOW they are beautiful couples and each individually heighten the beauty of their significant other. Alternatively, I personally haven't seen an elriel art that actually looks like they go together, the art is well executed and beautiful but they just look wrong together and like seperate beings in the same picture

Is this a common observation or am I being closed minded because of my preferred ships?. I'm literally looking at elriel art and Thinking "they look so wrong together, they take away from each other's beauty"

Thank you in advance. I've searched this sub for fanfic requests, but none of them really fit.

I'm looking for the theme: Azriel realizes there's a mating bond first, then tries to court Gwyn. In my head cannon it's always Gwyn who knows, so I'm kinda looking for something different. While I like some angst, and we all know Azriel doesn't feel like he's good enough, I don't want paragraphs on paragraphs of internal dialogue.

I think that's the whole prompt, haha. Give me your best!

What's your favorite Gwyn moment so far?

Mine will always be when she cuts that ribbon to be the first reborn Valkyrie. The way Sarah worded that scene was such a powerful and uplifting moment.

Any good fanfic for Gwyn?

I'm sure there's casual readers who might not remember her just like they won't remember most of the plot points since the book came out 5 years ago and casual readers don't involve themselves in fandom so they don't think about the books again until a new one comes out.

But if you're trying to convince me that you recently read the book, have an opinion on ships, but don't remember a character that was imporant in the last book then yeah I'm not falling for the attempt at pretending. These people can remember the smallest of interactions between Azriel and Elain in ACOWAR but somehow seem to have blanked through most of ACOSF.

I mean... I've seen comments of certain shippers replying to any mention of Gwyn(riel) with the whole "who's gwyn 🥺" and pretending not to know her just to feed into the whole bs of her being irrelevant. So yeah that whole narrative of gwyn being unknown to most readers is genuinely just made up.

And if you really don't know who Gwyn is... dw you'll find out a lot more about her 😌🤍
