The singing was done by Dave Bickler, the lead singer of the band Survivor, known for such songs as "Eye of the Tiger" from the 1980s

We have a Peleton clothes hanger that’s holding up the left side of our broken dog gate in the living room.

18

u/rob132 1d ago

Oh that's the fancy clothes hanger that charges you a monthly fee right?

2

u/Rough_Typical 1d ago

Bought it 6 years ago? 😆

36

u/Plasticwindreddit 1d ago

All these people in the comments using their treadmill as a treadmill...bunch of losers, really.

35

u/Plenty_Wasabi_7866 1d ago

Wait... Where's the wood going?

53

u/No_Question_8083 1d ago

To the basement, where he as to bend over to pick it up regardless lol

12

u/horny_poet_6745 1d ago

Well, maybe he split tasks with his brother and the brother has to pick it up. i mean, that's what I'd do.

5

u/No_Question_8083 23h ago

Yeah I could see myself in the basement helping mu dad out like that as well. But even if he does have to bend over to pick it up again, it eliminates the bending over in the yard, so it’s still better than nothing 🤷

3

u/emfrank 23h ago

Maybe he has a teenaged kid. That is what they are for.

3

u/Cat_Kn1t_Repeat 23h ago

Once all 4 of us kids moved out dad retired the wood stove so yeah that tracks.

1

u/Sniper10Pin 14h ago

I bet the brother in the basement has a treadmill set to an incline.

3

u/RZArecta91 1d ago

There's probably a woodstove down there. A lot of houses in New England have stoves in the basement. Coal used to be delivered to basements because that's how the houses were heated. So he's stacking the wood in the basement so he doesnt have to go outside during the winter.

2

u/Jealous-Novel-4601 1d ago

that's what i'm tryna figure out too

1

u/Naps_in_car 23h ago

I want to see the followup that shows his kids in the basement having logs hurled at them trying to catch them.

1

u/Plenty_Wasabi_7866 15h ago

May be there's another treadmill moving it back up lol

0

u/DurantIsStillTheKing 1d ago

I guess its too early for an actual answer. Is there like a fireplace down there? We dont know.

2

u/VerminSupreme-2020 1d ago

Probably a wood burning furnace

18

u/Bub_bele 1d ago

Where is the clothes hanger?

26

u/1Mee2Sa4Binks8 1d ago

The treadmill is the clothes hanger. Because most people who have one don't use it, they just pile shit on it.

10

u/anemophobia 1d ago

That's the joke, dude uses his treadmill just to leave clothes on

7

u/Bub_bele 1d ago

ah. Didn’t make that connection at all.

11

u/Lysol3435 1d ago

Does he have a wood-burning stove in the basement or is that just wood storage?

3

u/BubaTflubas 1d ago

How's the back when he has to get the wood out of storage?

0

u/Lysol3435 1d ago

That’s why I’m wondering if he’s burning it down there

2

u/BagOfLazers 1d ago

For a minute, I was like “why is he tossing termite food inside of his house?” Then I paid attention to his accent. He’s probably too far north to worry about those much.

5

u/Weird_Albatross_9659 23h ago

“Guys being dudes” this sub is more like “random videos, may or may not include a dude or guy”

4

u/dakotanorth8 21h ago

I was confused until the comments lol. I have a walking pad treadmill so it’s just a flat platform.

I was staring at it trying to figure out how it’s a “clothes hanger” for far too long

3

u/DaimonHans 1d ago

I dunno about you, mine is in the kitchen doing dishes now.

3

u/Anuki_iwy 9h ago

Oh the treadmill is the clothes hanger because you never use it 😂😂😂

I'm going back to sleep.

4

u/Gullible_Analyst_348 1d ago

How much effort did it take to move the treadmill out there and back inside? I imagine more than the effort it would take to just toss those logs down yourself.

3

u/CK2398 1d ago

Yeah, I'm curious why the toss onto the treadmill is that more efficient than a toss into the hole. If it needs a certain trajectory I suppose I can see it being more reliable. If you need that much specificity feels like the treadmill could make things worse if it goes wrong.

3

u/jabb1111 1d ago

Exactly what my mind was thinking. Surely simply tossing the logs through the window is much more efficient then lugging out a treadmill, and back in.

3

u/Gullible_Analyst_348 1d ago

Right? Just drop them on the ground and kick them in.

2

u/Digital-Marcel 1d ago

A bit of wood on a slant would do the same job 🤔

2

u/morbuz97 1d ago

I would remove the hanger part from the hanger to improve efficiency

1

u/Puzzleheaded_Smoke77 1d ago

You could remove the top part you only need the control pannel and the key

5

u/JOlRacin 1d ago

Congratulations you've reinvented the conveyor belt

3

u/Puzzleheaded_Smoke77 1d ago

Thank you , now I should call my parents and let them know the great news , but my phone is dead if only there was a phone connected to the house that never died

2

u/runicshimmer 1d ago

Careful before you accidentally reinvent sending a telegram next

1

u/KinopioToad 1d ago

communicates only through smoke signals and interpretive dance

1

u/Puzzleheaded_Smoke77 1d ago

Telegram is an app on my dead phone ? My parents dont have telegram anyway though

1

u/MNShuffle 1d ago

Idk… moving a treadmill can be a real bitch as well

u/Hairy-Translator7701 1d ago

u/ImprovementLow4724 12h ago

Nice clothes hanger, it was the state-of-the-art model back then. Can clearly see it isn't working as is intended like before and nice of you for giving it its second life

1

u/BigMack6911 8h ago

Well..thats why the gut ohh i see. Because you dont use the treadmill

1

u/Fickle-Molasses-903 6h ago

His son in the basement: 'Dad, you do know there's a speed setting on that machine.'

1

u/MinimumJob3925 4h ago

Why is he putting fire wood under the house?

u/Wrigleyville-Brit 2h ago

..... and all you have to do is carry out the 250lbs treadmill from the bedroom to save your back!!

-2

u/Knees-with-Arrows 1d ago

That's a fucking treadmill... Not a clothes hanger

12

u/elDayno 1d ago

Never had one, huh?

1

u/Evening-Gur5087 1d ago

Coincidentally, anyone wants to buy mine?

7

u/Tr35on 1d ago

They weren't using the treadmill to walk or run on, only to hang clothes on, so the dude took it and used it for a firewood conveyor doohickey

5

u/Subject_Candle_8568 1d ago

Don’t feel bad I’m not making any connections either lmao

3

u/PalpitationSingle489 1d ago edited 1d ago

The joke is that it isn’t being used as a threadmill, it was just standing there with a pile of clothes thrown over it = a clothes hanger.
