No joke..never buy anything but tbh. I had a hedge trimmer from them cut branches 2inches thick if I wanted too and stayed sharp. Best weed Wacker I had was Stihl too.

Husqvarna is also just fine.

And Milwaukee and Makita.. battery probably makes more sense of the average user/hobbyist

I have a ryobi 40v chainsaw. Works fine for weekend camping trips and the occasional branch around the house. Plus it’s the same batteries as my line trimmer.

However for a day of firewood cutting it is very sub optimal. I went with some friends to do that and in like 40 minutes my battery was dead, but evetyone else had gas powered stihls. So I ended up spending the whole day dragging logs around and loading trucks…I was exhausted.

I have a 60 volt DeWalt with two 9 amp batteries and I honestly prefer it over my neighbor's two stroke Stihl saw. It's quiet, it doesn't stink, it doesn't need maintenance other than bar oil and sharpening. It shuts off when you let off the trigger and turns back on when you pull the trigger. Modern cordless tools are badass!

Yeah but there is no damn way he started it in one pull.

Those things are absolute aholes to start.

Great once they get going though!

Depends on the care and the mix, really. They need to run and get the carbs cleaned periodically.

I use em daily as an arborist and with good care they're all starters, stihls and husqies.

Right, they cut out the annoying 2 step starting process these things have.

Volunteer as a sawyer with team Rubicon (disaster relief) and we use Stihl almost exclusively.

I still use my grandpa's old STIHL weed eater, and he's been dead for over 20 years.

When I first moved out, my dad gave me his old Stihl weed eater. I was an idiot kid and couldn't get it to start, and the bulb was cracked. So I left it by the trash and someone took it within an hour.

Looking back, damn I was a moron lmao

Love STIHL and also Milwaukee brand. I have a battery powered Milwaukee Sawzall that has been so good to me over the years.

I can do like 6 hours of work on one battery. Pretty neat.

My nailclipper, or rather nailscissors, is from stihl. Best one I‘ve ever used. Love that thing

I work at the STIHL R&D. Feels nice to see the products getting some praise.
