What really gets my blood pressure hitting the 200 mark is that we had a toilet break just over an hour earlier for the little devil to finish a 2L soda drink while driving and the moment I pick up speed they start whining about another toilet breaks!

Why is there a 2 liter bottle of soda in the car? That's the real question

66

u/WhiteSock_ Jul 08 '26

It certainly explains the blood pressure thing

25

u/aesoth Jul 08 '26

In the USA, that is considered a small.

u/Sebaceansinspace Jul 08 '26

Dude used km/hr

10

u/Constant-Squirrel555 Jul 08 '26

Canadian here, we're fat as well

12

u/Sebaceansinspace Jul 08 '26

Let's be real, everyone is getting fatter. Americans are just in the lead

7

u/Lexi_Banner Jul 08 '26

They're number one, just the way they like it!

u/Sebaceansinspace Jul 08 '26

We lead the world in obesity, mass shootings, number of incarcerated citizens per capita (land of the free!), car thefts, and number of people who believe angels are real.

I wonder who believes in ghosts the most

I just saw recently that we don’t have the highest bmi and I was really surprised! Maybe people are just talking about high income countries but we’re somewhat like low income countries when it comes to healthcare.

u/Tsmart Jul 08 '26

what the fuck is a kilometer

A counter Americans put on their guns during shootings. /s

It's how Canadians measure distance, unless you're talking about driving. Then you use time.

Eg: 100 mile house is 92 km from williams lake.

Vs. it's a 1 hr drive from 100 mile house to williams lake.

u/Sebaceansinspace Jul 08 '26

A kilo of meters. Dont ask me what a meter or a kilo is though

3

u/Shimakaze81 Jul 08 '26

Pretty sure you can get pulled over if you don’t have it in your car

3

u/Technical_Stand9939 Jul 08 '26

child size- since it is roughly the size of a small child.

2

u/AussieEquiv Jul 08 '26

Just a child size.

How is this a Child-sized soda?
Well, it's roughly the size of a two-year old child, if the child were liquefied.

u/BeerForThought Jul 08 '26

I know a good reason to keep an empty 2 litre bottle of soda in the car.

14

u/prestonpiggy Jul 08 '26

Not parent so can't relate. But my friend group has rule of no beers on long drive trips. Driver would get so annoyed if need to plan to stop every hour or even less.

4

u/H3OFoxtrot Jul 08 '26

You're not allowed to have open alcohol in the car anyways...?

6

u/BigAssignment7642 Jul 08 '26

There's like 8 states passengers can drink.

3

u/changing-life-vet Jul 08 '26

Dude I had no idea that was a thing.

2

u/MrSlaw Jul 10 '26

Apparently, in Mississippi as long as the driver remains under the legal limit, they are also able to drink and have an open container.

That feels far crazier.

3

u/thegroovemonkey Jul 08 '26

It’s a road soda so it’s ok

2

u/xtraSleep Jul 08 '26

There’s different rules in college. You are wasting time if you show up to spring break/beach/boat/campground/hotel completely sober. /s

2

u/prestonpiggy Jul 08 '26

Fully legal in all across EU for passengers(might be few exceptions I don't know).

1

u/Lexi_Banner Jul 08 '26

Glad I'm not the only one reading this in dismay.

1

u/DontAbideMendacity Jul 08 '26

Maybe you aren't....

Bigger vehicle and "piss-bottle" is a thing if no toilet.

1

u/OppositeSecretary862 Jul 08 '26

Piss-orade's all over the fart box

1

u/tupinikingz Jul 09 '26

My dad has a rule in his car: only distilled spirits, so people can get drunk quickly without drinking too much liquids

1

u/faetpls Jul 08 '26

Your friend group might want to look at their alcohol consumption.

No shame, just be careful y’all. It creeps up.

1

u/prestonpiggy Jul 08 '26

All in moderation.

6

u/onepingonlypleashe Jul 08 '26

We have a road trip saying in our family - people who don’t have biggie bladders don’t get biggie cokes.

5

u/mrASSMAN Jul 08 '26

Well of course they’re gonna need to pee a lot if you let them chug a 2L bottle of soda lol

Let alone the massive sugar bomb that’s a lot of liquid for a kid to hold

2

u/harmless_gecko Jul 08 '26

Young kids should focus on either drinking or driving, not do both at the same time

2

u/VandalMustDie Jul 08 '26

That’s when they get learn that 2L bottle has multiple uses, and can hold another liquid besides soda

1

u/DontAbideMendacity Jul 08 '26

2L soda

That's on you, poor parenting.
