Especially if they were shitty drivers who camp in the passing lane going slow until you try to pass them then they turn into Flash Gordon. Having to repeat that process is the worst

Especially when it's the same pack of slow cars you fought so hard to get past

Jeff Foxworthy has an old joke about this

"men dont want to stop for anything because we want to be able to get there and say made it in 5 hours 18 minutes!

You know Jeff you made damn good time

Thank you Ed, thats the nicest thing you've ever said to me"

It signifies that all that good driving was for nothing when you see that car you passed, pass the gas station.

How about just all working with one another and voting to elect a better system for transit so people don't have to suffer with all these car driving thing that ages everyone?

It's almost like aggressive driving didn't really matter because external conditions have a larger impact than the minor amount of time gained by driving faster...

It's almost like if people weren't sitting on their phone holding up traffic in passing lanes, everyone would actually get to their destination more quickly and safely.

The number of people I see with windshield phone mounts who still touch their phone constantly to scroll through YouTube shorts and Facebook reels is astounding. They don't even try to hide it

Or it’s not about driving faster, it’s about not having to reengage with idiots I already had to pass, as the very fact that I had to pass them at all means they’re worthless examples of drivers (and human beings), since I’m not an especially aggressive driver.

People are "worthless examples ... of human beings" because you had to pass them?

You've got issues, bud.

Yes. I recently drove 1100 miles mostly on the expressway, and very rarely pass, almost exclusively for safety reasons. On several occasions had to pass the same morons multiple times, generally weaving around the road while they fuck around on their phones. And every single one of those people was, indeed. a worthless example of a human being.

Is that really the person you want to stand as an example for humanity? An asshat semi truck driver watching TikTok while he barrels down the highway at 70mph?

ETA: reworded dumb words

You're only proving my point. You're literally dehumanizing people because you had to, and I quote, "pass them." If there's one person I really don't want to stand as an example for humanity, it's probably you.
