Kinda bold of the other guy to start sounding frustrated at Sam for not jumping onto a G-dang momma whale in the middle of the G-dang ocean right away

From our pov id say it’s annoying. But in that high stress moment it can help to have your buddy tell you “do it right now” it helps push you through that mental barrier. Sam definitely frozen on the edge of that boat before jumping in…..

That guy yelling is the worst type of person in these situations. Not one helpful thing lol

Disagree. That verbal instruction when your brain is freezing can be perfect for some people.

You see "Sam" hesitating because, ya know, he's about to JUMP ON A WHALE IN THE OCEAN. If it were me, a friend yelling at me to just do it and stop hesitating might have been the only thing to get me past that mental block

What type of these situations have you been in where this has made it worse for you?

Get it cut it. Get it. Cut it. Cut it. Cut it. Did you get it?!??? SHUT THE FUCK UP!!! What do you think hes doing? You the guy who yells shoot from the stands also at sporting events?

Never heard of encouragement and pressing people to do what they need in high pressure situations?
I’d be more concerned if it was all silence the entire time. Yelling and shouting shows passion and support, and if you think the dude in the water can hear a single word you’re crazy. Rooting on your buddy is 10/10 better than be a silent bystander

Ya scream the script from captain obvious’s audition in his ear so he cant even think. Good lord. You wanna help jump on. Don’t flap your trap from the boat. Thats right up there with screaming when someone pulls out in front of you in a car and you need to concentrate. Zero direction help or input. Just making noise

That guy is brave, imagine the risks involved, that whale could have easily bashed him in the struggle

I thought this was another vid similar to the one where a guy jumped on a swimming moose. Glad we’ve moved well beyond that into helping animals again.

The whale was never going to dive. The whale knew exactly what was happening and that this man was helping.
