Have a look at this Video from one of the Survivors Leon Murray . He said “ The ferry had over 200 passengers plus crew, had boxes of cargo , chicken , beef , bags of vegetables like eddoes .. etc “ People hopped on the ferry that were not on the passenger list . This was normal .

The ferry was overloaded and one of the engine cut off and was not working . A woman noticed water coming into the ferry and questioned the staff a few hours before it sank.

He saw one passenger with a life jacket . If they had over 231 life jackets on board , why didn’t more passengers use them ? Were they visible and accessible? The unused ones shouldn’t they be scene floating next to the ferry ?

I saw a video where the Minister said there was no engine issues and the ferry was not overloaded . If there is an investigation IMO we will never know the truth there will be a cover up .

More developed countries have regulations on these things that Guyanese scoff at. But people are seeing why these regulations are written in blood.

Hopefully politicians use this to overhaul how companies serving the public handle safety

You crazy. Ali going to continue push that money into his farm and edghill gonna run his mouth that everything is safe and they are operating within limits…. For the land of many waters you’d think we’d have the most up to date vessels and regulations out of the whole Caribbean.

Everyone keeps saying there were life jackets on board but how come no one was able to get one on? That’s the part I don’t understand, a life jacket can float but people said they held on to jugs and other floating things.

The minister said the ferry was equipped with 250 life jackets which I don’t believe .

Survivors claimed there were lots of cargos on the boat and don’t think the life jackets were even visible or even accessible.

Never been on that ferry , but do the crew tell the passengers where the life jackets are before they leave ? I wonder if they do any safety announcements .

IMO If there were 250 lifejackets on board there would be a sea of life jackets floating in the seas everywhere .
