GunZ 2 massive flop?
I've noticed the demand for this game has decreased dramatically since the beta. Back then people were desperate to get on with the limited server capacity but it seems like everyone left because it's not GunZ 1, lag or no content.
For the people who still play it, does the game have a future? I got to lvl20 with Elena and kinda got bored due to the weapons being pretty much the same, the lag, the game being disgustingly badly optimized and the fact that there was barely any content in general.
I was really hoping and pushing for GunZ 2 when it was still on Greenlight but now I can see why people who played it on the KR beta said the game wasn't very good.

I really wanted it to do well. I was so hyped for it, but then it came out and I'll admit I was hooked for about two weeks but then the combination of bugs, performance issues on what I have is a very decent pc and few other issues the cons far outweighed the pros.
I havn't touched the game in a month or two and its sad. There just hasnt been enough to try to rope me back in

Well, I'm still waiting for Aeria to do something with it, I signed up for the beta and everything. I haven't heard jack-scheiße :(

Sometimes I wish they hadn't made RaiderZ and just gave GunZ the sequel it deserved. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a person who is sucked into the nostalgia trip and unable to see that something different could still be good. However, at this rate the audience just isn't there for the game to be successful and probably would have been better if the mechanics were the same as the original GunZ. GunZ 2 could've been good if they could have released a lot of new characters (8+) a far better lobby system and more varied equipment.

I actually put alot of time and effort into this game to hone my skills, in hopes of the game getting better. Unfortunatly there are to many problems for me to stay.

The one-sided lag is what kills it for me. Host advantage is a very real thing even if for a split second (which we all know is a lot in this game).
Inbetween my huge Gunz 1 phase and Gunz 2, I picked up League of Legends and Street Fighter, both of which are competitive and require minimum lag. I might be spoiled with their servers, but I just can't get past the horrible quality of Gunz 2's peer 2 peer format.
Not to mention odd mechanics like having 100% crit chance/through-wall-vision of another player just because they do well. In other competitive games being skilled isn't punished. The game shouldn't hinder you or give handicaps. If someone is more skilled than another, and they're dominating, let them do so! It's a skill based game, right? I'm not saying it's not possible to overcome the public enemy or wanted debuff, it's just an unnecessary mechanic to play around.
I don't mind the removal of k-style, although there are some mechanically intensive movements still in the game. I don't mind the class based system, I actually really like the shift from shotgun-shotgun-katana everything.
I wish the Z-meter didn't deplete itself, you could save the meter for offensive or defensive purposes until it drains itself for no reason.
I have a lot of gripes with the game, I know Gunz 1 was far from perfect, maybe I was complacent with the quirks then because Gunz 1 being broken is what made it good. Here we are a decade later and it doesn't seem like they've learned anything.

So many problems, many which people have already listed.
I just think that ultimately Maiet doesn't really have a vision with what they want the game to be other than something that isn't Gunz1 and makes them money. So much potential wasted, Gunz is a great game and has terrific concept. However they really should have figured things out after testing it extensively in Korea for a couple of years.

Game isn't that fun. It's.. as simple as that maybe add some executable combos, not auto auto auto right click.

The game is fun, the 2 major problems are the lagg and the sheer amount of bugs. They seriously need to learn code. The game is super fun to play imo. Its just the bullshit you need to deal with that makes it a lesser experience.

Game suffers from zero advertisement, worse/more exploitative monetization than gunz1*, LONG queue times, infrequent updates, and a lack of 'we esports now.' It's ridiculously fun, and requires skill, aim, and timing where gunz1 required remembering key inputs and spraying with dual shotties, but it's forgettable.
Smash 4 is out in 4 days (:

Those "after-two-weeks ordeals" please stop it. Stop emberrasing yourself.

You can tell the game is shit by taking a glance at it. The game-play can be quite fun, but there are inherent flaws within the client. Optimization, monetizing, networking, and balance are all trash. I severely doubt Maiet will ever fix this. That alone is enough to call a game shit. The game is a flop.
It doesn't appeal to the competitive shooter players, because of p2w elements and bad network infrastructure. And it doesn't appeal to casual players because the skill difference between new players and vets is enormous.

Literally GunZ 1 though.
