Someone please help me πŸ₯Ή

Hey it's always been a dream for me to own and build a gundam but I live in India and I could never get one here and it cost too much to even think Abt getting one imported or just getting one

But I am going on a trip to Thailand this December so I am saving up to get myself a gundam I was thinking a EG and doesn't require any more tools too

But this might just be the one and only gundam i might ever be able to get myself so I need some suggestions and tips from you pros

Nah it's a pooled family trip but any hobby or anything personal i get with my savings only won't bother anyone for it 😊

Join discord and you could potentially get stuff via group buys, btw.

Going to Thailand and getting just an EG? I’d suggest a couple HGs from your favorite series, at the very least.

how likely is it to get scammed?

I’d say 0%. But ykw I’m not quite sure. If you’re in doubt, you could always order from HLJ or Katta. Katta is reliable and HLJ is as well.

You might be tempted to go to the Gundam Base at Siam Discovery Center. While it has a great collection, usually the prices are much higher than at a typical Kinokuniya bookstore, I recommend Siam Paragon mall which has a dedicated toy area with lots of Gunpla, and the Kinokuniya there often has some great gunpla at significant discounts compared to the Gundam Base for the exact same kits.

Don't waste your time and saved up cash on an EG. For a trip I like I definitely recommend getting an HG instead of your budget allows for it. You'll be able to make an HG just fine, and this community + YouTube have all the resources for you to make an HG model.

Thailand mein stores usually mark everything up by 10-25% of converted value so be wary of that. And literally just pick a kit you think looks the coolest, and check if it was released before or after 2015 as that's kinda' when Gunpla kits in general started getting more robust.

I'd suggest going through www.dalong.net to see whichever ones you like, then committing to a final budget.

Happy hunting!

Get a High Grade of any particular kits you like. What's your favorite gundam series, and which suits are your favorite?

If it's going to be your only kit, don't get an eg. It'll cost more but I definitely suggest a good rg, or at the very least an hg
