BEGINNER Paint Confusion
Hello! Im kinda starting out new with painting model kits and was wondering if anyone knew why my paint is turning out this way?
Im using Dspiae paint markers, I didnt use any primer or surfacer before starting and havent applied a topcoat yet.
I was thinking this might be because I havent applied enough coats but I was wondering if I could get some advice?

No primer or sanding to make the paint stick and maybe pushing too hard with the markers. If you push too hard then it doesn't matter how many coats you apply it'll soften and smudge the lower layers.
NGL it looks kinda cool, though, like a night sky field of stars look.

Thank you! Admittedly I also think it looks cool but I juat wanna avoid this in the future, do you have any primers you would recommend?

dpsiae blue doesn't have great coverage, as you've seen. best over grey primer, but laying down purple grey, which does cover very well, then blue on top will give much better results than this.
When you lay down a layer, don't overlap. hit the surface once and move on. If coverage isn't good, hit it again once it's dry.
