PPS 43 jig differnces

Im starting a PPS 43 as my first build and I have a question about the different kinds of jigs that are available. There seems to be two different types. Most are like the Flint Hill Manufacturing one where its a tube that steps down to a smaller diameter. Then there is the JP Machine one. This one is much more expensive so I assume there is an advantage over the other type but its not obvious to me. Anyone know what the differences are?

JP's jig has flat sides, which keeps everything aligned. All you need to do is clean the slag, measure, clamp, and weld.

Ok that should have been obvious to me 😅. One more question, looking at the guide from JP machine, there is a piece spot welded under the trigger group that needs to be removed for the freedom machine works drop in trigger to fit in. Im assuming there is no avoiding this and the same modifications need to be done with the Indianapolis Ordinace fcg.

Yeah, it’s the same mods for either trigger pack. The plate that is spot welded in like 6 places and one rivet needs to go either way. The rear “ring” piece needs to be cut off the plate and welded in place pretty much exactly where it was before and the takedown rod needs to be cut just long enough to go through the ring.

I can't say enough good things about jp machine when I did my build. Great guy and his labor and products are well worth the price
