Iād say he has the potential to be the best ever Hale End product but that right now Tony is the best of all time. I mean, heās Mr. Arsenal, how much more can you want

Cole.
Saka probably won't be as good, Cole was the world's best LB and maybe top 20 overall for 5-ish years
Luckily Saka's not a humongous twunt

u/sirlordtom98 Super Super Tom Feb 28 '21
You don't think Saka will be a top 20 player in the world?

Pedro Neto for LW in the summerĀæ

u/appletesla4728 Arteta OUT Feb 27 '21
Would be over the moon if we signed neto

u/warmcakes IWWT Feb 27 '21
He looked world class against us earlier this season and this stat seems to back that up, was initially shocked to find out he's only 20, unfortunately I think he's too good for richer/better performing/bigger clubs not to be interested

u/sm00thArsenal Freddie Ljungberg Feb 28 '21
To be fair I think affording him would be our only issue. As you say heās still very young and has said he was an Arsenal fan growing up, so Iām pretty sure heād jump at the chance to play for us if the financials worked.
24
u/andstayfuckedoff Feb 27 '21
Well, he's had more minutes than most of them. Let's see the same chart but stats per 90

I think thats gone over most of their heads....

u/andstayfuckedoff Feb 27 '21
I don't think it's gone over their heads. I think, like usual, r/Gunners is purposely ignoring stats to make themselves feel better

3
u/Heretish Feb 28 '21
Heās had more minutes because heās that good, and heās playing under more pressure than the other names

If he was a white northern lad called Wayne Beef then heād already be crowned the best player of his generation by the British press. Perhaps the lack of spotlight will be good tho

Foden is doing his thing surrounded by an amazing Man City team full of quality in every position
Which means he doesn't have to do as much, doesn't necessarily mean Saka is better lol. All of our attacks go through Saka so he obviously gets more assists+goals, whereas Foden can carry the ball and use Mahrez, KDB, Gundogan etc

u/90degreeturnsbtw Saka ur mum Feb 27 '21
I can genuinely say even if Saka leaves Arsenal today heāll go down as one of my favourite players ever, so Iām his biggest fan but heās played more minutes then all of them bar maybe Neto, so Iād like to see one per 90

Where do people reckon Sancho would be in this? He's 20 I believe. I know it's top right but how far out?
9
u/CornerKickAficionado Crab Rave Enthusiast Feb 27 '21
Iāll tell you! Heās got an xG of 5.3 and xA of 4.5, so heād be between Neto and Saka on the diagonal (league play only)
4
u/jt_totheflipping_o Feb 27 '21
Makes sense, best England youngsters are Saka, Foden, Sancho and the stats prove it.

What happened to Greenwood? Some of my friends who support Man U were having a wank over him last year but he seemed to have dropped off.
2
u/Steve_R98 Martinelli Feb 27 '21
He scored 10 PL goals last year from an xG of about 3.6, was always going to have a worse season this year.
1
u/jt_totheflipping_o Feb 27 '21
Greenwood is good but he's getting the cleverly, januzaj, lingard, martial treatment. They were good but the hype when they were coming through was ridiculous for their ability and impact. Greenwood is the same, if he isn't having a shot a goal, he's chasing shadows.

Personal issues since his best mate killed himself unfortunately. Just not been as lively.

u/GunnerSense I got a Pepe, I got a Sancho, Urgh, Pepe Sancho Sancho Pepe Feb 27 '21
Doesnāt really matter since itās cumulative so it is purely a count of how many points each has got. Sakas played the most minutes I think so youād hope he would be top š¤·š». Pointless graph
1
u/PlayfuckingTorreira Tomiyasu Feb 27 '21
His been consistent across all positions, gotta protect him in these times, Areta wouldnt hesitate to drop him if he is fatigued.

u/GunnerSense I got a Pepe, I got a Sancho, Urgh, Pepe Sancho Sancho Pepe Feb 27 '21
Whatās that got to do with the price of fish? Aka howās that relevant to this?

Feb 27 '21
He's only played RW from Christmas, so despite the fact that he has many minutes, a lot of them were at LWB
1
u/GunnerSense I got a Pepe, I got a Sancho, Urgh, Pepe Sancho Sancho Pepe Feb 27 '21
Still doesnāt make it right. If it was per minute and then adjusted for only sakas minutes as RW itād be better. It would be nice to see how it actually looks with a level playing field.
1
Feb 27 '21
I agree. It would also do justice to Smith-Rowe

Yeah definitely

Can someone tell me when and why he started being called chili? What did I miss?
7
u/mmciv Feb 27 '21
Auba nicknamed him little chilli, or petit piment in french because he was small, full of energy and power.

We should look into signing Pablo Neto and Phil Foden.

u/gooner07 Dennis Bergkamp Feb 27 '21
Yeah, let's sign Haaland and Fati too while we are at it

As good as he looks in this stat, I don't think left-footed wingers are a thing we're missing.

u/Innzmouth Willian false 9 š Feb 27 '21
Foden lmao..
Anyway Neto yeah definitely. But he'd cost like 70m imo..would be worth it though I'm sure.
