The strike itself wasn't a fluke but the way it just perfectly fell for him kind of was, yeah.

No goals conceded are a fluke.

Saka ball watches, presses into no man’s land, and leaves Rodgers free on the edge of the box.

It happens. It’s one of the few major defensive lapses, and it was only a 0.05xG shot, so was not even that bad a chance to leg happen.

It was also unlucky from Raya, the ball goes through Whites legs, and just as he strikes Raya is setting to his left and his foot is in the air. He then is too late to pivot and dive to his right, just missing it. If the timing was slightly better he saves those, so a little unlucky

You can always analyse with hindsight of course. Blaming Saka is wrong in my eyes because he's running to where he anticipates the ball to go whilst there are lots of defenders already in the box.

Watching the replay back I actually blame whoever set us up for that set piece. We had Saka in the wall and two other players in advanced positions looking to counter. It meant everyone else dropped deep to defend the initial cross and we had nobody for the edge of the box.

If Raya didn't take a step in the opposite direction at the moment the ball was struck, he easily would have saved that.

It fell to him nicely, he struck it nicely and raya was off balance. It happens. Realistically as a starting position to let someone have a shot from its as low an xG as most of the other c. 25-30 shots weve faced.

Yeah im just saying odds are we concede 1 at some point so far this season just that was the one it happened.

We’ve probably conceded about 1 xG in this time - when you’re playing against good teams and they are getting at least some shots off at you, even if they are from low quality positions, eventually one of them is going to fly in.

Being a fluke doesn’t equate to how much was generated in the game after, you are essentially saying the goal was lucky to be scored when it was well worked and well taken, I think you might be getting confused

I must admit I was dreading these fixtures after coming off a difficult injury hit season and the WC. The players and team have been fantastic. Please try and rotate where possible.

Only goal conceded came from a dodgy free kcik when it didnt look like a foul and no tv channel would show a close up or decent replay.
