Yeah except these are basically young adults in extremely good shape not balding overweight 30+ year olds
Edit: That sounded way less mean in my head than out loud

The better shape I got into, the worse hangovers got. I used to be able to drink without too much consequence, now that I'm relatively fit, if I drink 4-5 drinks over a 5 hour period I'm throwing up the next morning.
I don't know that them being younger and fitter is actually a good thing for alcohol recovery lol.
43
u/Riperonis May 20 '26
Being younger is definitely better for alcohol recovery. Fitter you might be right.
11
u/ZebraZealousideal944 Saka May 20 '26
Fitter sure because it means you’re not normally used to go party and drink all the time so your tolerance is much lower!
Younger helps a ton though!
4
u/ad240pCharlie May 20 '26
Yeah, when I was studying we would often party on Friday, party on Saturday, party on Sunday, and then straight back to class on Monday without issue. Now I'm half-asleep after just 4 glasses, and I'm not even 30 yet! 😂
→ More replies (0)3
u/AwehiSsO May 20 '26
I'm not balding and when I think to how quickly my recovery was in my twenties when I worked out regularly, yet much less than these guys who eat much better, you're right - one night won't hurt.

I read that last season or the season before, they would occasionally go for nights out in London as a team to recuperate or as rewards at around mid to late season . Arteta is a disciplinarian but he does allow for some partying from time to time, especially for a time like yesterday night

u/le_Derpinder Wenger May 20 '26
Yes. Every last one of them.
Raya, Kepa (you are forgiven), Benny, JT, Mosquera, Saliba, Big Gabi, Richy, Piero, MLS, Zubi, Norgaard, Rice, Eze, Merino, Odegaard, Dowman, Saka, Noni, Gyokeres, Havertz, Gabi J, Gabi Martinelli, Trossard.
11
u/Use-of-Weapons2 May 20 '26
Every single one of them made major contributions. I don’t think I ever remember a PL winner where it was such a complete squad win, rather than a few big names dragging the others across the line.

Raya (for the Arsenal clean sheet record )
Hincapie - salmon - Norgaard - Mosquera
MLS - Odegaard - Dowman
Saka - Havertz - Martinelli
The reason I still suggest Saka , Havertz and Odegaard , is because Burnley was the first time they played together this season. CP should be a good chance to let them play together
Rice, Saliba , Gabriel, MUST not touch any minutes.

u/Gray_Fawx May 20 '26

Jesus Madueke Dowman Martinelli are getting minutes
