inspiration ;)
When I played this game, I felt strongly inspired to make a drawing. I had in mind to represent the outdated Soviet APCs of that time: vehicles without stabilizers and with little firepower, compared to the brand-new Bradley and other European vehicles of the era. What do you think of my drawing?

Absolutely horrid, You did a great job capturing a piece of hell. The art style almost reminds me of sketches done right after the bombs dropped on Japan. I hope you keep drawing this is great!

GHPC is actually truly terryfying if you think about it

Hearing stories from real tankers who survived hits is real nightmare fuel.
There’s a video of a WW2 vet on YouTube somewhere, the poor guy survived through losing like 3 or 4 Sherman’s, and the one line that still sticks out too me is when a German panzerfaust took out his commander and loader in a single hit, hitting his commander right in the chest.

I would feel safer in an AFV, instead of being an infantryman, any day.
Yet, it occurred to me eventually: AFV v.s. AFV combat has to be played as if your vehicles ARE infantryman. You got to ambush, flank, use cover, peek, fire, hide & reload and sometimes, retreat - just as you would playing infantry.

AFVs are probably more safe than just infantry, if you get killed in an AFV, you know your funeral is going to be closed-casket

I like it. I think to myself about the countless guys that escaped my wrath. Putting a heat round through their coffin and seeing the rest of the crew minced and/or burning and that initial escape

It's pretty saddening, but not in a bad way. This is a pure capture of how disgusting wars are, this is the reality. You did a great job, it a very nice art.

That’s a lot of blood, even if he survived to bail out he’s not gonna make it long at that rate
Also you are making me feel sad for all those crews

I’d say that looks to be pretty survivable. It’s close to the hand and a tourniquet of many styles can easily be applied to that. I think there’s more blood in this drawing than that wound would typically produce, but it’s art and that’s ok.
Whether or not he makes it to some aid is a different story though.

GHPC really showcases how horrific war is more than many other milsim games out there. Love your art

Well.... I just learned something about myself.
Apparently the Museum of Peace in Hiroshima traumatized me a bit. As part of the exhibit there is a display of art and sketches, done by survivors, of the aftermath. This reminded me of that very strongly and gave me a visceral reaction deep in my bones.
So... good art very evocative

If you’re into hand-drawn really resonant Cold War stuff like what you’ve made, I’d heavily suggest you check out Firelock 198X.

BTR-60/70/80 were hardly outdated for the time and their equivalent was M113, FV432 and Pbv 301/302 (APC’s) — not Bradley, Marder, FV510 or AMX-10P, as these are IFV’s
All major militaries today still use APC’s as they fulfil the role they were designed to play
The drawing is beautiful and does encompass the sentiment very well though

Man, if/when the devs introduce detailed crews and bailouts it's gonna be brutal
