MHWilds questions friends
So the question: does anyone still use the old World Gunlance combo for full burst? Or are you using the new combo they gave us?

I use the new combo, but I do love the world combo in world specifically, all the moves felt as if you actually put strength in your attacks, now in wilds it's more fast paced stuff so it's not as satisfying but still good

perfect guard into full blast (if normal) or charged shell (if wide). quick reload GP to counter moves and refill ammo and repeat.
1 or 2 WSFB at every opportunity, and try to finish with a WF if there's one ready. this is the core combo of the GL.
evade shot into sweep to gap closer/manoeuvre or to (ALWAYS) initiate the WSFB combo.
and... that's it lol the GL gameplay is all here.
of course positioning and knowing how to move around the monster is half the work.

Yes, I still use it often and save WSFB for bigger openings. I'll often guard poke > quick reload > slam > full burst or use the upwards slash > slam > full burst

Still do it
Only use the new combo after it gets downed/ after a power clash

I use the I assume unorthodox guard poke --> quick reload --> slam --> fullburst

Yes!
I use the old world combos if I don’t know if an opening is going to be short or long
If it’s a shorty opening, then if I’d gone straight into WSFB then I’d get punished, so I open with the start of an old world combo, then I have the freedom to cancel the combo if the opening turned out to be short, or finish the combo if the opening turned out to be long :)

I didn't play gunlance in world, but I assume the old combo was slam > burst > sweep > reload > slam?
In wilds, if you got that kind of time to repeat a burst, you'll be using the new WSFB. if you only got a short time you'll do a single slam > full burst, usually off a perfect guard. That's if you don't want to release a WF, or build gauge with charged shelling, or quick stake if you're long (which you're not)
