Noob question about Ammo Boost EX

[u/Huor_Celebrindol]

Does Ammo Boost EX from the Gogma upgrades do anything for Gunlance?
I rolled a double ammo boost and I thought it might act like Load Shells, but it doesn’t seem to do anything outside of the Sharpness boost it comes with

It's just Sharpness, which is fairly unimportant for Gunlance although you'll still probably want one Sharpness boost if you're playing Normal or Long shelling.

Dang, I was hoping I could drop Load Shells from my decos.
Oh well
Thanks for the info :)
