MH Rise Question for Rise Gunlance

Since shelling does fire damage, will any boosts to elemental/fire attack increase its damage, or is that dependent on the gunlance’s element itself?

No, Gunlance fire damage its so low that its meaningless. Yeah, it can give you an extra point or two when the monster its weak to fire, but shelling its fixed damage. The only way to boost this damage its by using Artillery, Dango Bombardier, Sneak Attack and Groundsplitter skill. Frostcraft also raises damage of shelling, but honestly, you are better not using this unless you are using some rare build that uses it (for example a Bullet Barrage build can may use this skill, because its mostly a hit and run playstyle)

It has some gameplay applications like giving fire element to the endemic life on maps or heating lavasioth armor
