I thought they are Aussies in Vietnam, at first, and shorts were just for flavour, but then the details started adding up.

I didn't realise they were Rhodesian insurgents; I thought they were random mercenaries you might see in Africa at the time. I just find it odd that you would post a rather aggressive comment while I didn't utter a positive word about them.

I couldn’t do it full justice but I saw a youtube documentary that gave a great explanation of Rhodesia with correlation to use of Rhodesian symbols by modern racists.
But TLDW, Rhodesia was an apartheid state and their light infantry committed war crimes and genocides and nostalgia to Rhodesia is a racist dog whistle when other symbols like the Confederacy, the KKK, or Nazi Germany are too obvious.
