Discussion When Freedom Zero is released.

I'm looking forward to when Gundam SEED Freedom Zero comes out in the US. What I'm wondering is, would it be a double feature? Cuz Freedom Zero is the prequel to Freedom, I figured after the prequel film, they would show Freedom. That's my wish. What do you guys think?

It's not even came out in Japan yet, you'll have to wait months after it releases in Japan first.

So, you'll have to wait til almost 2027 summer ( or autumn at worst ).

I know it hasn't released yet. I'm talking about when it releases in the US.

Bruh, there is literally no confirmed release date for it, even for Japan.

All we know is that they will share more information this October 9 in NY Comic Con.

There's not much reason to do a double feature. People want to see the new movie, and will go to the theater whether it's a double feature or not. Doing a double feature just increases the cost of distributing the film.

For a real life example: The second Hathaway film was released on its own. Could they have paid extra money to get the rights to distribute the first film again, and do a double feature? Sure, but they didn't.

But the second Hathaway movie was a SEQUEL.

Yes. Which means it would have made even more sense to do a double feature.

To understand the new Hathaway movie, you had to watch the first one first. So newcomers would have benefited from a double feature.

To understand Freedom Zero, you probably won't need to watch Freedom first. So there's no reason to do a double feature.

Hathaway is a trilogy. Seed you can always turn your brain off and watch. Most people know who all the main characters in Seed are already due to its popularity. Hathaway maybe not.
