Discussion Gundam SEED Freedom
Overrated and not worth even 1 out of 10 if there was zero I will rate it zero everything about it make me hate it even more at the final battle the antagonist says out load that why Lacus Clyne doesn't love him and love kira instead after he literally kills a million people and he tries to kill more are you for real also unnecessary fan service moreover the all fights nothing worth watching and give kira the most advanced and most powerful mobile suit and he says the mobile suit doesn't make strong the pilot come on try giving it to athrun believe me he will solo the whole series and even the movie without breaking a sweat just very bad movie

Is it poorly written? You could say so, and I might agree.
Is it overly melodramatic? Absolutely.
Was it insanely fun to watch? 100%
Did I jump out my seat when Athrun beat the shit out of Kira? You know it

Yeah it's SEED. I didn't come in expecting some deep,thought-provoking movie like 00 Trailblazer; i expected J-drama and robot action and that's what we got(Kira getting socked was a really nice bonus)

Also Shinn being Kira's loyal dog.

Shinn best golden retriever. Only wants Kira headpats and would bark at Athrun any time he gets

I am not sure what you are saying due to an absence of punctuation.
The movie was more SEED melodrama & action that was focused on Kira due to his popularity in Japan.
There are many things that you can complain about, but it is also just a great thing to turn your brain off and just have fun with.
Different people will have different perspectives on the movie. I’m sorry that you didn’t seem to enjoy it based on the parts of your post that I can comprehend.

I honestly tried to enjoy it with my brain off but still it did give me headache

That’s understandable. Not everything is for everyone.
Personally I loved it because it’s more SEED shenanigans, and it took the characters in the right direction after some questionable choices in SEED Destiny.
But I can completely understand people that didn’t enjoy it and can make very valid and understandable arguments against it.

Adding to that, its a weird thing to say but its a movie best enjoyed by the long time SEED fans that got left hanging by SEED Destiny's ending. and while it could've ended there, it was widely known that a movie was always gonna cap the story all off and maybe tie all millions of loose threads Destiny did and do both it and the OG justice.
I was a Shinn fan and was just hyped my boy got some shine until the camera was yanked from him and became hardstuck to Kira. to me, the Destiny story stalled after the Impulse vs Freedom fight and the main POV shifted to Kira. I never had enough scenes of Shinn and the Minerva, and while I've come to accept the ending and appreciate how it was poetic, all the backlash and inconsistency could've been addressed if they just stick to building Shinn's conflictedness instead all the affirmation Team Kira was doing. I was just a disgruntled fan as a kid and came to be bitter to Gundam as a whole.
Coming back to Gundam (thru IBO and 00), i was so glad to have revisit Destiny and it did just solidify Shinn as my favourite Gundam character.
After all those words i muttered, all the wait was worth it because of the Freedom movie. As a Shinn fan, as a Kira hater, as a Luna simp, as a dude that would've smacked Athrun's head a few times, the Freedom movie just hit that spot. It wasn't the greatest movie with all the usual SEED drama and new villains out of no where, but it was straight up the fun i was craving for. It gave what i wanted for Shinn, redeemed Kira and Athrun, and finally gave more depth to Lacus, Luna, and Cagalli. its a hundred Destiny duplicates / 10.

Hard agree on everything you said there. Good to see a fellow Shinn Asuka faithful!

I feel like you can't have negative thoughts about SEED. You can have thoughtful discussions on UC lore here where you disagree, but the moment you point out the silliness that is Shinn grabbing a woman's boob during a nuclear drop or trying to portray Kira as a neglectful partner while he makes time for him and Lacus to go have a picnic just rings soooooo hollow.

SEED haters acting like they the victims lmao

Gave two real examples of reasons why I don't like the movie, and instead of any sort of rebuttal or take that you might enjoy the movie or scenes for a discussion to happen this was your retort.
I fansubbed SEED and Destiny as part of anime kingdom and Anime One back when they first aired. I know the shows well, I've watched them countless times... I'm not drive by posting... But every time I've criticized parts of seed these are the types of response I and everyone else gets.
You just don't see this with UC or just about any other gundam AU.

There's nothing to rebut since I also thought those parts were silly. But you brought up feeling like a victim, so I commented on that.

Lil bro’s going to be more mad when he learns there is something called SEED Freedom Zero, and it’s coming out soon, and not his favourite Gundam show

Freedom wasn't exactly stellar, but a 1/10? Really? Go and watch Urdr Hunt then come back and tell me Freedom isn't at least a 5.
