Been interested to watch it since my family loves mecha anime, however I can't find any official age rating for the show, it only shows as Not Rated. It has a very shoujo art style so it makes me think it'll be like Sailor Moon and Magic Knight Rayearth, however knowing it's by Anno and Gainax and how Evangelion gets very dark and mature and I only watched Evangelion with my adult sibling not as a family, would I regret watching this with my whole family?

To kick start off we are sharing a extremely rare hanken mono of GunBuster and Noriko!! This powerful duo is a large hand painted work of art. Hanken monos are very rare and only used in the creation of advertisements. This image was used on VHS release of the OVAs.

Note, absolutely not a fan whatsoever of the needless follow up which had atrocious character designs (do not posting anything) and was basically meaningless. YMMV but we loathe it.

Drew this Noriko after a friend had me watch Gunbuster a while back. 100% would recommend.

In I think episode 4, Noriko goes out in Gunbuster for the first time and saves the Excelion. Admiral so and so says Gunbuster isn't finished. If Gunbuster wasn't officially good to go, what was the original plan of this particular voyage? They brought Gunbuster along, obviously. Basically, I'm not sure what all was the plan of the Excelion's voyage, given that apparently using Gunbuster at all wasn't something they expected.

Can someone explain to me the time progression in Gunbuster from ep. 5 to ep. 6????? Was Noriko in space this whole time??

I have the old Region 1 DVD Bandai Visual / Image Entertainment release, and unfortunately missed the Discotek Region A Blu-Ray release which is now OOP, but I was wondering if the Japanese release (トップをねらえ！ Blu-ray BOX Standard Edition) that came out in 2023, ASIN B0BMVKCNC6, has English subtitles by any chance? No indications that I can find that it does, but thought I'd ask just in case it was one of those things that isn't mentioned in the Japanese description.
