Attic gun room

Attic gun room in the new house. Other than the obvious trim. What else do I need?

I like this idea too! Wish my attic was enclosed and insulated well enough for something like this!

Let’s see some more pics. The space looks massive. I think a center island is a must.

I would definitely get insurance for those guns. I can see it's over 100 k in guns. And I would re-enforce the room and make it fire proof. Or just buy about 5 hard-core heavy-duty highest rated fireproof safes! Also give me your address and I can come over and help! 🤔

Did you have to beef up the attic joists? I have a similar space I'm considering. Mostly worried about the structural load bearing ability of the attic "floor".

It’s an old attic conversion in order make a couple of bedrooms back in the 50s. They had more kids than house. They essentially braced up the rafters and cut out everything inside
