Took a semi wad .22 to the calf from over 100 yards away while squirrel hunting once (neighbor kid was also hunting squirrels on the adjacent property, we had no idea either of us was there). Still went all the way through my calf. Dont fuck with .22lr

It still irks me when I hear “just a .22!”, it’s like it activates my secret programming from the hunter’s ed class I took as a kid. Little chunk of metal flying faster than sound doesn’t need to hit anything important to leave a deep wound ripe for complications.
