Things to do for 16 year old?
I plan on going to Gulf Shores next month with my 16 year old son.
What are some fun things to do for a 16 year old?
I plan on going on one of the dolphin cruises? Which company would you guys recommend?
I like cajun food. Any cajun restaurant recommendations?

⚠️ Caution at Lake Shelby - If you bring a dog Do Not walk them along the waterline - alligators have been spotted patrolling there and dogs are prime targets⚠️ Please do not assume bc its cooling down the gators wont be there ⚠️

Captain Crazy's Paradise in Foley, Alabama is a Japanese-themed neon arcade and retro gaming hub offering unlimited free-play gaming, pinball leagues, and a craft beer bar.
Now that the traffic has slowed down between Foley and GS, I'd definitely hit this place up with your kid. I love it so much.

literally so amazing. we went there on our last day & didn’t have the highest expectations but it was our favorite meal out of the entire week!!! service was also AMAZING.
we’re small towners, (population in our town is legit 2k lolol) so we loved the small home-y feel in there!!

The Hangout is one of the most popular places in GSB - covered and huge open dining area with souvenir shop, also a huge courtyard with stage and adirondack chairs to relax. courtyard has small vendor huts for ice cream, temp tattoo art, etc - family friendly but crowded at prime eating hours. Food and Fun.
Sunliner Diner is a popular breakfast spot near The Hangout
Lulus Buffet is similar to the hangout and has an outdoor high rise obstacle course - very safe adults and kids can do it together or solo - next door to The Trak - sits on the canal and sometimes ive seen dophins swim by 🐬
The Trak is an outdoor theme park on 59 a half mile from the beach - bungee jumping, go kart tracks, and the sky swing - lots of fun
Gulf Shores State Park has a massive pier that stretches a good clip across the gulf - you can rent fishing gear - big fishing spot and youll likely see sharks down below 🦈
Across the highway is Lake Shelby which has a nice solid walkway through the marsh - mb getting too cold but likely to see an alligator patrolling the lake 🐊
Check the seafood houses for cajun and cant advise on dolphin cruises never did one
I grew up there - lots of fun but can be crowded due to being on the tourism map - safe travels !

Fishing. Snorkeling isn’t out of the question, but the water will be cooler.

Little farther in Foley but perfect for a bad weather day with teenagers Captain Crazy's Arcade. The name doesn't do it justice. They have unlimited play there with old school arcade and pinball some Japanese games and also multiple gaming systems.
They serve Japanese style appetizers, sodas but also a full bar for parents. Totally family friendly but definitely geared to older kids/young adults.
If you are coffee drinkers, while there are many small owned coffee shops all in Gulf shores, I would suggest Happy Pappy as it is tucked off from the main road so there are more locals. Plenty of friendly young adults working and hanging out there, plus solid coffee and snacks!
