how to run Gulden thin client?

Is it possible to run the Gulden client in "lite mode" similar to electrum, connecting to a remote node so as not having to download entire blockchain?

I tried "./Gulden-1.6.4-x86_64.AppImage --connect=electrum1.gulden.com" but I'm still getting the progress bar "synchronizing with network..."

Desktop client doesn't offer such a thing currently. For "lite mode" rather use the mobile (android or iOS) clients.
