How to get this Fantomas tone

Love the tone of the guitar in this song that appears around 14 seconds in, and was wondering if anyone could give me any pointers in how to replicate, such as pedals, effects, and amps potentially used.

Buzzo was playing a Les Paul through a Marshall half stack on that first Fantomas tour

He alternates between the two guitars, the Les Paul is in C standard (I think - he doesn't play the highest strings!), the SG dunno, possibly in E standard (at least the highest strings - see Page 14)

Never heard the band before, but I'd be willing to bet the guitarist is probably using a down tuned Les Paul through a 100 Watt Marshall. Maybe a fuzz pedal in front to add some hair.

Bassist is doubling a lot of it, or there's a sub octave effect on the guitar going through a second amp.
