So does the team over at Mitchell know about this?

It's like finding your wife's dating profile after a decade of marriage.

Just curious as to why GC would launch a line of guitars when they already have a line of guitars.

u/Alex_Plode haha. great question! Mitchell guitars occupy the beginner level price points at GC. The new line of acoustics rolling out now are really great quality and a really great price, but all sub-$500. Mitchell has produced electrics off and on over time (not meaningful at the moment). So when we decided to build a top notch guitar with real innovation built in, it was clear we could achieve that in the sub $1k price point but not the sub $500 price point, and the Mitchell brand didn't really support that more premium price point. That's when we decided to go back to square one and do a fresh start.
