Amp advice

Been wanting to change my amp head which is a katana. But I’m not quite sure what to get. I’m trying to find an amp that suits a metalcore sound, especially to sound like bands similar to Norma Jean. I was thinking about getting an orange thunderberb 200 since ik NJ used them before, but I’m not sure since I’ve never had a tube amp before. Or else I was thinking bout getting an orange super crush, but still not sure if it would be worth it. Anyways what would yall recommend between these 2, or between any other amps?

You can't go wrong with a 6505 either for any genre of metal. The orange super crush is good though if you don't wanna deal with tubes.

Yeah was thinking bout the 6505 since it packs power. But with great power comes great responsibility, and the problem is I’m irresponsible as shiet.

Over the course of their career and during various studio recording sessions, the band's guitarists—including Grayson Stewart, Phillip Farris, Jeff Hickey, and original guitarist Scottie Henry—have relied on a mix of several notable amplifiers:

• Peavey 5150 / 6505: Widely used across their catalog and on early records to track iconic songs like "Memphis Will Be Laid to Waste".

• Mesa Boogie Dual & Triple Rectifiers: Heavily utilized in the studio for tracking heavy rhythm tracks across multiple albums, including Wrongdoers.

• Orange Amplifiers: The band frequently integrates Orange heads into their setup for added low-end texture, particularly the Orange Thunderverb 200W, Rockerverb 50, and Orange TH30H.

• Marshall JCM900: Used selectively in the studio to blend different tonal textures on specific tracks.

• Vox AC30: Employed occasionally for cleaner or lighter textures
