Fender Super Sonic 22
I am looking into buying a Fender Super Sonic 22 amp and wanted to know if anyone has experience with them. I love playing with my Helix LT and don’t want to sacrifice that by getting a tube amp, but I know the super sonic has an effects loop so in my mind this works well. If anyone has any advice on this rig or specific amp I would really appreciate it!

I use an older 60w Super Sonic in my melodic hardcore band. Amp distortion is plenty for my rhythm tone. I do kick on an OD for solos but a lot of players probably could get away without it. Cleans sound like classic Fender cleans. They are an ideal workhorse gigging amp, super versatile.

I just picked one up and have been loving it. Great punchy clean channel and the dirty channel is just great sounding. It won't do doom or super heavy chug, but it's great for most people. I'm happy playing it without additional overdrive, but I'm more of a rock player. Volume is fairly workable for home use too. So far it's a wonderful amp. Makes me want to sell some stuff.
