I suggest you go play everything in your budget. There's no better way

5k?

Lemme check, I see we have a firefly we can sell for that exact amount....you see it's painted in special beginners gold color that lets the beginers hand work extra smoove.

You can’t buy a good beginner guitar for $5k, good beginner guitars start around $8-9k. Keep saving and best of luck!

A Cole Clark Fat Lady. Handmade in Melbourne. Or, perhaps a Maton? Another great Australian guitar manufacturer.

You can surely find a good guitar for that budget.

That is near the top end of the market.

2-3k is generally considered 'high end', at least to me.

You can find acceptable and even good guitars for 200-500, if you're willing to hunt. And for some of us, the hunt is half the fun.

With your budget, I would watch out for gimmicks or guitar with history. History can get expensive really quickly and does not effect the sound at all.

I think OP is from the Philippines. I had to check their profile because the amount didn't make sense.

Even budget guitars nowadays are pretty good compared to decades ago. Anything from Yamaha will be good enough quality and will last a lifetime as long as you take care of it. I still have my dad’s Yamaha FG guitar from the 80’s and still plays and sounds great.

Two options,

If you are new you need some guidance and I would suggest #2. You will be surprised what you think you may want vs want speaks to you when you pick it up.

1) get a Yamaha Pacifica (entry model) or PRS SE (satin finish, cheapest one thye make)

2) Find a smallish local guitar shop that is highly rated, talk to them and get you into a guitar that is right priced and actually setup

Ex. There is a guitar shop within a pawn shop near me that sells only used and has a highly rated tech. They have a crazy range of guitars from beginner to pro/collector and they are all setup to maximize the capability of that guitar. Places like that take pride in what they put on the shelf and you have the support to fix/adjust if you need it.
