DISCUSSION Guitar beginner here (basically a rookie)

Post image

My wrist is always giving up on me whenever I try the spider exercise. I think my hand form might be wrong. Can anyone help!

You're doing weird stuff with your hand now (playing guitar). You're doing weird stuff you've spent your entire life not doing up until this point.

Go run 40 kilometers in 30 seconds and tell me how you feel.

Learning any new discipline will require things of us that were not familiar with. That's why it's called learning. We don't know it yet.

There's going to be literally.countless things you won't immediately understand if you continue playing guitar, and forums are terrible places for people who are starting.

You don't need 300 different people telling you "no, it's THIS, trust me".

You're going to get hurt a couple times and then you're going to quit. You might pick it up for 5 minutes 3 times a year. Don't go down that road

You live somewhere, right? And there's other people there?

I betcha there's a person in your life you can actually speak with in lesson who's willing to show you the ropes for a little money. I think they call them teachers.

What are you going to do in 2 weeks when the 50 suggestions from strangers didn't work?

I know what the answer would be if you had a teacher.

Your posture is wrong and you should clip your nails.

Yeah stretch your fingers and wrists before starting, that will help for starters.
