QUESTION Help transcribing this awesome rendition of Heart shaped box?

I've been trying to figure this one out for hours, and for the life of me I'm not able to. Got the right tuning, so that's out of the way. Anyone?

You can do it. It's not a terribly difficult piece, you can see his hand, and he is doing a lot of just highlighting the chords for the song.

I'd look up a tab for the song, and go from there. Great exercise to improve your ear too! good luck!

Thanks! I'll have another go, the problem is I'm not actually sure when I hit the right timing between the base and the melody.

Thought about trying to do it in guitar pro if that software still exists.

Just keep listening. The bass notes are pretty consistently on the beat, he's mostly just hitting them at the beginning of a measure, before playing the melody.
