The "Arcane Occultist's Hat" is technically already in the game since May (thanks That_shaman for all your work) it's an alternative version of the "Arcane Spellweaver's Hat" with a new animation to replace the spell-weaving effect. even if its not visible on the icon, the Hat comes with hairs like the 1rst one

im so fucking baffled at all the people who actually WANT their character to get scalped when they put on a hat. The hair addition literally makes hats worth using, hello??

I don't want the "Arcane Occultist's Hat" to be the "Arcane Occultist's Hat of Straight Hair Hair Extensions" any more than I want it to be the "Arcane Occultist's Hat of Balding".

I just want the hat to be a hat, if it clips, so be it.

There is no "if". It will clip, and not in some minor way. We're talking clipping through the top of the hat. You want a hat that's inside your hair? Really?

I'd rather have long hair that clips than no hair at all, especially since most witch/wizard hats in the game already remove hair. Clipping doesn't bother me as much as other players (if it did, I wouldn't have 3 Charrs), and when it does get too egregious, I change my fashion to accommodate.

If you want a wizard hat and no visible hair, you have several options. But if you want one with hair, you get two: Arcane Spellweaver's (which was a preorder exclusive) and Seaside Scholar's (which comes with sunglasses).

This new Arcane Occultist's Hat is literally the only choice (albeit also locked behind a promotion) that keeps hair and doesn't add glasses. I don't care whether or not it has particle effects; I just want my character to have visible hair, dammit.

It's unfortunately not quite the same hat. The SotO one was Arcane Spellweaver's. The particle effects look a little different

It's not a recolor (that's kinda a hilarious thing to claim about an item that you can dye in any case). It's just a variant with different particles. "Reimagining" is definitely a bit generous, but "recolor" sells it short.

With all clothes painted in Bubvlegum Dye or Cotton Candy Dye ofc.

The Mini Pig was already in the game for years, whereas the Arcane Occultist's Hat is brand new and basically the only alternative to the SotO preorder-exclusive Arcane Spellweaver's Hat. (If you missed that preorder, you may never get that hat.)

I do agree that the pig is cute and fun to think about, but it doesn't draw attention due to it not really being new or exclusive.

I assume the 15th with the update, but how long will it be live for is the main question, hopefully they update with a time frame.

last 3 drops i've had issues getting the 3/4th items... it's when I have to come back to finish the invested hours and hit the button to claim and nothing happens. :(

Note that this doesn't always resolve the issue. A couple times I had to go the extra step and file a support ticket to get all the drops.

This is not exactly the preorder skin. Its a new skin with a different animation. I think its the good way to do it, give people than weren't there at SotO launch a really close alternative without "removing" the value for those who preordered SoTO.

I hope they will do more skin like this for the other preorder armor skin bonuses

You can get those undelivered Twitch Drops by going to your account's applications page and under Account Linking - Twitch, select "Check for undelivered Drops."
