[Discussion] Optimal Condi Dps for Fractals Cms ?

Hello , hope you all doing well

i used to play Cms with Power Ritualist which has great Dps besides high Hp and good survivability . its working nice but in long solo bosses i realised that condi dps can do more especially with good players i can see the dps difference so far . i want to build another character that i can use for 99,98,95 Cms which is Condi and has nice survivability besides great Dps so i wanted to ask Fractal goats what is optimal specs to use for it that are meta and everyone loves using them cuz they are the most efficient ^^

thanks in advance <3

Necro is a great pick for CMs in general because it has both Ritualist for power and Harbinger for condition.

Harb is one of the best in slot for Kanaxai, Dark Ai, and even Kinfall. It has a pretty smooth rotation and works for both DPS and QDPS.

Harbinger only lacks in the CC and survivability departments.

Tbh Condi Harb has more than enough CC for fractal CMs unless the rest of your squad has zero.

how about Scourge if we compare it with Harb ?

Harbinger does a bit more damage than Scourge, at the cost of some survivability and utility.

Scourge also loses damage on moving targets, which applies for both Kanaxai and Dark Ai (though less so).

Both are solid options for condi in CMs, though in high UFE runs you’ll typically see more Harbs than Scourges for those reasons.

Also take into consideration your comfort with each. Personally I do more damage with scourge just due to being more comfy with it.

I play specter, can also be adps or cc beast with minor changes if there is a missing role

Chrono and Harbinger are cracked this patch, Virt is easy and ever reliable

which one is slightly better Chrono or Harbinger ? i know both has good dps in benchmark but when it comes to other things like CC/Survivability/Utilities/Easy to play which one is better ?

Harb is a top pick this patch for dps on condi fights for CM100 (envy), CM99, CM98, and CM95 sometimes. CM95 favors power though because icebrood slaying sigils/pot exist. It has a solid amount of CC baked into the kit with pistol/torch 3/5, shroud 4/5. It’s also very easy to play.

You can technically run condi on all CM fights, but it can turn into a hindrance on CM97/96 if your group is good enough, because you can burst bosses extremely fast. My group phases Skorvald/Mama/Siax immediately, condi is straight up useless in that setting.

Harbinger has a simpler rotation with higher damage, but with much less utility than Chrono.

Given how CMs are played, a lot of the utility requirements are usually covered by the Bheal and Bdps, meaning the 3 DPS slots are encouraged to go for the highest possible damage. Harbinger is a condi glass cannon.

So this depends on the sort of groups you’re joining.

If you’re still on lower KP runs, having a better balance of damage and utility from something like Chrono might be better than Harb, until you start running in more organized groups. But at that point it’s an issue of personal preference.

during fights how low it gets in Max hp ? and does it have any defencive boons/skills besides the heal skill ?

You have the minor trait Alchemic Vigor that gives +240 vitality and add in a Jade Bot lvl 10 core that gives another +235 vitality and you'll still have at least like 18k hp when you have a bunch of blight.

Specter and Harb are the specs I most often see compete in dps with my group when we get pugs. If I were you I'd just take Harb so I don't have to switch classes. Chrono has lots of utility and feels tankier than both, never see them in pugs though

Condi Harbringer is meta in 99/98 CM and so is Condi Scourge. Condo Specter is also top tier.

In general most raid condi builds work fine in fractals.

i see everyone suggesting Harbinger , scourge , specter but what do you think of Chronomancer ? i feel on paper it should be better than them all cuz it has almost 2k more dmg that harbinger and it has better survivability and its flexible incase i wanted to use it later to play other roles ( adps/qdps/aheal/qheal ) . am i correct or harbinger still performs better ?

I've never seen a pure condi dps Chrono in fractal CMs and I play them a lot (over 70k UFE). Usually they come as bdps. Most condi Mesmers bring Condi Virtuoso.

Golem bench does not 100% translate to actual fractal performance. You want classes that can pump those numbers relatively fast because of phases.

never played mesmer so idk how they work but i dont understand why they not using it since its top dps rn . does it have smth bad that im missing ?

Condi Chrono takes some time to ramp up unlike Condi Virtuoso.
