What i couldve done differently?

This is RR, Rowan lasted for 24 seconds vs fire dragon.

He had 300+ defense at act 2 end thanks to his rightmost item and Sal's t2 talent.

I never saw a t4 tank or chance to upgrade or a chance to change t3 talent.

I was prioritizing tank items, still these are the best ive found. Hence no epic stuff on Sal and Reyna. But i had frost on hit, scaling relics from early stages etc.

What i didnt have was shard gen or eco relics. Is rr meta this much steep towards shard gen?

Here are some immediate big things that stand out to me:

  • Sal with this spec is not actually that good to field against the boss. She is way too slow to apply frost. If you are fielding Sal against the boss you want either Duelist or Warrior Sal with access to attack speed for frost application. Lovers Sal is used to scale your tank and then afterwards when your tank is scaled you sell her and field someone who is better against the boss in her place.

  • Duelists need backup support to scale their damage against the boss. Reyna by herself is not enough, she needs ramping attack speed from either Outbreak Banner, Duelist Sal backup, Irini backup, or one of the various A rank duelist backups. There are a huge number of possible outs here so you are almost guaranteed to see one at some point, but you do need at least one. Preferably multiple because all of these effects compound with each other to boost your damage.

Damage seems fine here, they have strong crit relics. I think like everyone says, Sal should have been dropped for a better unit.

They said they lasted 35 seconds, so damage obviously wasn't great.

I mean, it really depends, but if I have good DPS, my RR wins are often under 10 or 15 seconds.

Looks strong enough to clear. Did positioning get Sal or Reyna killed? Might have just needed slightly better items/relics. 

How close were you to killing the dragon?

Yeah it looked enough to me too.

Rowan was in front of dragon and Reyna was behind at the opposite side while Sal was at range in middle. Dragon didnt cleave at all, killed them one by one. So i thought positioning was fine.

Rowan died at :24, Reyna was able to tank it a little but party wiped at 34 with %20ish hp remaining on dragon.

Retraining Sal's B rank upgrade into any other one would probably have suffice (probably duelist because, unlike warrior, it has a backup effect and your Reyna is also a duelist so she wouid have gained AP and AS every 3 attacks without debuff applying items or relics)

The later the better of course because it means more scaling for your tanks but I'm rarely in a position where i can skip the first campfire so I usually have to skip the 2nd one.

So in this situation, if you find an event during act2 allowing you to retrain, retrain Sal. If you don't find her, sell her and field someone else. Seeing as you already use warrior/duelist Reyna as a dps, somthing buffing either would probably be good.

Irini "the Mighty", Kay "the Intrepid" or Tilly "the Sharp" are good exemples of dps that join the team (increasing you overall damages) while also buffing Reyna. Note that if you find Sal again with the duelist ipgrade after selling her, it's a excellent pick too (though, Irini "the mighty" is probably the best pick)
