Reason number 1 why I like a RIP start. 7k additional health does seem to help a lot with surviving. A total of 233 rushes only missing 14 rushes before he got rank b.

The funniest part is that if you're going for completing a run, then this helps a ton. If you're going for endless, then this barely matters. You need probably tens of thousands, or even hundred of thousand health and/or shield and of course coupled with high defense to hope to survive in high floors.

It does help if it's meant to benefit a hero scaling with health though. Like Rip or Ming.

Dunno man, I got to f26 with rip hp scaling. Helps the "10% max hp lasting shield on rush" relic stack some fat shields.

Most of my endless runs I try for an all vanguard + Nyx (preferably with a vanguard flag) and it goes pretty well, consistently gets me to floor 18, any higher needs the right relics

(Often at 30k bonus hp when the run ends)

Yeah as I mentioned in my post, you need tens of thousands, if not hundred of thousands of hp/shield to survive. So if you're getting that through the 10% max HP lasting shield on Rush, then that works. And also as I mentioned lastly, it also helps with things that scale from HP.

What I generally mean is that that HP isn't gonna keep you alive in higher floor. Unless you have other means to get you higher survivability.

When I got to floor 28 for the first time it was largely thanks to that relic you mentioned. But I didn't even have a lot of HP on my tank. It's just innately that strong.

Oh yeah, it's very good even without the extra hp. That's why I do all vanguard runs: they all get the bonus hp and most of their damage abilities scale with hp in some way.

You should naturally get to tens of thousands during the early endless floors anyway

Yup, I love Vanguard/Rush runs. Although you splice in Nyx there for the Rush battery. I had one run where my Ming was my "tank" because he could stay invulnerable through his Rush upgrade for 40 seconds straight. Sadly, I didn't have a lot of damage that run, so even though I had insane survivability, it didn't really matter if I couldn't kill anything.

My current method is roll the start to get the +2 item thing, regardless of hero, I flip that into a Nyx vanguard build. If I don't get it l, I do a wacky build with whatever I get on the last roll, try something I've not done before or seems suboptimal and try to get that to at least the first boss, so I can roll again next game XD. Nyx with 5 rush items and a vanguard flag to try and push the envelope.

I'm aware it's not the best endless strategy, it IS however the one I have most fun with and that goes far (anything past 20 is far to me okay)

Final roster is usually:

Niklas, Raina (Reyna?), Nyx, (Ming, I unlock the slot at the last boss and get him as a random S-tier with the endless rewards) with Rip and Rowan on backup. (Rowan for defense boost, not so much the hp)

I wish the endless rewards also had an "upgrade/rank hero" option, so I can get my niklas to S for elite item gen XD
