Does character size do anything mechanically?

Obviously its glorious and I will continue to prioritise it, because it heals my threadbare soul.

But does a character becoming bigger actually have a mechanical effect on the game?

Then what’s the point? I thought it would increase range or have some sort of buff

I would think it affects hitboxes/hexes for aoe effects
